Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the Terms and Conditions for Harbour and Chance. These terms govern your access to, and participation in, all offline poker, card lounge and restaurant-hosted card room experiences held at our physical venue in Australia.
Eligibility and Code of Conduct
To join our offline poker evenings, card lounge gatherings or card room sessions at Harbour and Chance, you must be at least 18 years of age. By entering the venue and taking a seat at any of our poker tables, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and can present valid photo identification if requested.
All guests agree to follow our code of conduct at all times. This includes respectful behaviour toward other guests, our host team and restaurant staff; following host directions for every hosted poker session; and helping to maintain a considerate, relaxed atmosphere throughout the card lounge and restaurant spaces.
Harbour and Chance reserves the right to refuse entry to, or request the departure of, any person whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with our standards. This may include, without limitation, harassment, aggressive conduct, interference with in-person card evenings, or failure to follow instructions relating to seating, food and beverage service, or use of the poker tables.
Booking and Reservations
Reservations are mandatory for most offline poker sessions, structured card room formats and featured restaurant pairings. Walk-in seats at the card lounge may occasionally be offered, but they are not guaranteed and are always subject to host discretion and venue capacity.
To request a reservation, you may use the enquiry and booking options presented on our Contact Us page or any reservation prompts placed throughout the site, including from pages such as Lounge, Tables, Evenings, Pairings and Groups. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from Harbour and Chance.
When reserving seats at our poker tables or securing a place in a hosted in-person card evening, you agree to provide accurate contact details and any requested information about your group size, preferred time, and any accessibility or dietary requirements. Harbour and Chance may adjust seating plans, timings or table allocations as needed to ensure a smooth offline poker experience for all guests.
Offline Poker Session Guidelines
Every Harbour and Chance poker session, whether part of our regular card room schedule, a feature evening highlighted on the Events page, or a private group booking, is conducted entirely in person at our Australian restaurant venue. All activities occur on physical poker tables inside our card lounge and dining spaces.
Harbour and Chance does not host, promote or facilitate online poker, remote participation, mobile or desktop applications, or any digital gaming format. Attendance at our hosted poker sessions always requires your physical presence at the restaurant for the full duration of the in-person card evening.
Any chips, cards or related accessories used at the tables are provided solely as non-financial props for enjoying the tactile, social feel of a traditional card lounge. There are no real-money stakes, betting mechanics, deposits, withdrawals, winnings or prizes attached to any of our offline poker experiences. Guests must not introduce their own staking or side arrangements into the venue, and any attempt to do so may result in removal from the premises.
Restaurant Etiquette and Safety
Harbour and Chance is first and foremost a restaurant with a neon-lit card lounge atmosphere. All guests attending offline poker sessions, hosted card evenings or card room experiences must comply with our general restaurant policies regarding behaviour, attire, and safe movement within the venue.
Please follow all guidance from our hosts when taking or leaving a seat at the poker tables, moving between the card lounge and dining areas, and placing food and beverage orders during an in-person card evening. We may temporarily pause play to allow for safe service, seating changes or other operational requirements.
Guests must not interfere with the safe placement of chairs, tables or service pathways, and must take care around low lighting, decorative features and any audio-visual elements used to create our 80s night-drive ambience. Where signage or staff instructions highlight particular safety measures, those directions must be followed promptly and respectfully.
Cancellation and No-Show Policy
If you need to cancel a confirmed booking for an offline poker evening, card lounge session, private group event or restaurant pairing, we ask that you notify us as early as reasonably possible via the Contact Us page or any contact channel specified in your confirmation message.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows for reserved poker tables, card room formats or in-person card evenings may affect your ability to secure future bookings at Harbour and Chance. We reserve the right to reallocate any seats not claimed within a reasonable time of the scheduled start of a hosted poker session, particularly when there is demand from other guests.
Where a delay or no-show materially impacts the experience of other guests at shared tables, our hosts may adjust seating, shorten the remaining offline poker session for the affected table, or relocate your group to a different configuration, at their sole discretion.
Privacy and Personal Data
Harbour and Chance is committed to safeguarding the personal information you provide when you submit an enquiry, request a reservation or otherwise contact our team. Typical details may include your name, preferred contact information, group size, accessibility needs and any relevant notes for planning your visit to our card lounge and restaurant.
We handle this information securely and use it only for legitimate venue purposes, such as managing bookings for offline poker sessions, coordinating card room seating plans, tailoring restaurant service during in-person card evenings, and responding to your questions. By providing your information, you consent to its use in connection with Harbour and Chance operations in Australia. We do not sell your personal data, and we only share it with third parties where reasonably necessary to deliver our restaurant, card lounge and host-led services or where required by law.
Venue Credentials and Liability
Harbour and Chance operates as an Australian restaurant with an integrated offline poker lounge. We maintain appropriate licensing and responsible service standards for our venue and hosted experiences, including our regular card room schedule, themed in-person card evenings and private-group poker table bookings.
Subject to any rights you may have under Australian consumer law that cannot be excluded, participation in any offline poker session, card lounge activity or restaurant-hosted card room event is at your own risk. You are responsible for assessing your own comfort, health and suitability for extended seated play, social interaction and dining in our environment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Harbour and Chance and its team members will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury arising out of or in connection with your attendance at the venue, use of the poker tables or participation in in-person card evenings, except where directly caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.

The version published on this page is the most current version, and your continued attendance at offline poker sessions and hosted card events after any update will constitute your acceptance of the revised terms.
